Open Eye Gallery 2022

My image of ‘Delroy, the Volunteer Beekeeper’ was so well received last year that I was kind of blown away by the response.  Not only was it a British Journal of Photography ‘Portrait of Britain Winner’, it was also exhibited at The Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool as part of LOOK PHOTO BIENNIAL 2022, selected for Photofusion’s SALON 22 in Brixton and has spent the last six months at Worthing Seafront Gallery having been chosen for PHOTO FRINGE 2022 OPEN Eco.

I think it deserves a well-earned rest now! Here it is pictured as part of the INK collective’s “Bees and other species’ in Liverpool.

Going forward this year I continue to work on long term portrait-based projects and have recently been working with ‘Sporting Recovery’. They are a community based not for profit company who offer a relaxed and friendly sports and wellness programme for people to improve their physical and mental health through exercise and social interaction. They often work with vulnerable adults.

I have started creating portraits and look forward to sharing them soon.

I’m also hoping to blog a bit more this year!
