Under This Sky – Exhibition at Tetbury Goods Shed

📸 It’s been a busy period organising Gloucestershire Photography Network’s (GPN) first ever exhibition and I have to say I am very pleased with the results! It’s been a really good experience and I’ve enjoyed curating the work and liaising with the other photographers.

The images in the exhibition were submitted in response to an open call that invited photographers to respond to the theme ‘Under This Sky’. Unsurprisingly, perhaps, given our rural location, most of the images reflect the natural world – huge skies, beautiful sunsets, woodlands, lakes, rivers, wildlife, plant life and soil.

Very few people inhabit these images and those that do are either hidden, distanced or absorbed in their work. The breathtaking beauty of the world around us dominates this show and during this critical moment for the environment, long may that last!

I’m now looking forward to the events that go along with the exhibition – the open evening, a talk on how photography became art and finally the official launch of GPN.
